Hale

Waler pony Hale safely delivered a colt foal (Zephyr) on 9 January 2023, sire is Timor Pony stallion Balios. In due course Hale will be dual registered as a first cross Timor Pony with the Australian Pony studbook (who currently hold the Timor Pony registry). We believe her Garrano ancestry provides a significant link to the now extremely rare Timor Pony and are currently working up a research project to build a DNA breed profile for the Timor Pony.

Hale delivered colt foal Pinjee in November 2019 Victoria shortly after her capture on Todd River Downs. Pinjee is an important addition to the Waler studbook.

Hale was captured on Todd River Downs in 2019 as a result of extensive research into the likely presence of old-boodlines breeding true to this day in the isolated and harsh country but being removed as feral animals so facing extinction in this area. Wonderful old-bloodlines and colour diversity represented, read more about this project here.
