A photographic journey which records the transition of my wild captured Walers to a domestic life, with such grace and courage it’s simply a privilege to know them.
The mares arrived home in July 2019, and the first task was to teach them to welcome human touch and come willingly to be caught and led, starting in a small yard. Tommy was rescued by me in 2021, overwhelmed by his early handling and deemed dangerous.
