Chestnut filly
A heavier draft type horse was bred at Jinka, best known for service as Artillery horses, with outstanding presence, power and conformation. These horses were rescued in the late 1980s from Alice Springs saleyards along with the Garden and Cordillo horses otherwise destined for Peterborough Meatworks in SA.
We are gathering and preserving as much information as possible about our Waler horses. Please let us know if you know anything more about Chestnut filly, anecdotes and photos welcomed!
