This important project to develop a Waler genetic profile was the initiative of the Waler Horse Owners and Breeders Association of Australia Inc.
The project was conducted by WHOBAA in conjunction with Dr E G Cothran of the Texas A&M University, Dept of Veterinary Science, USA. We breed to keep the historical integrity of the Waler alive, and their genetics are foremost to that.
