A key element of preserving rare breeds is to be wary of restricting sources of old bloodlines, so it is good news that the Todd River Downs horses have now been recognised as eligible for breed registration.
The DNA testing done on all the captured horses shows a variety of outstanding old bloodlines, with parentage testing revealing no relationships between the horses.
